The care guide
A few careful habits help your BARAVEL pieces keep their natural character.
From first use to every ritual, with care.
Wooden cup
After use, clean gently with warm water and a soft cloth, rinse well, dry it and let it air-dry completely. Don’t leave the wood sitting in water and don’t expose it to direct high heat.
Aroma Keys
Store in a dry, clean place, in the box. Keep them away from damp environments.
Steel spheres
After use, clean with warm water and dry completely. Avoid abrasive sponges and harsh cleaners.
Wood changes over time
Natural wood can change in appearance with light, humidity, temperature and the way it is used. That is part of the character of natural wood. Not every change is a flaw.
CAUTION!
Dishwashers, microwaves, ovens, long contact with water, bleach and harsh detergents can damage the structure of the wood. Do not use them.
First use
The first few minutes matter for years of use.
01 Inspect
Look for cracks, residue, a sticky surface or a chemical smell. If you see a problem, don’t use the cup and write to Support.
02 Dampen lightly
Wet the cup lightly. Do not submerge it.
03 Use very little soap
A fragrance-free, mild dish soap is enough.
04 Clean gently
Clean the inside and outside with light pressure.
After every use
Four simple steps are enough for a longer-lasting ritual.
01 Empty
Don’t leave any drink in the cup.
Caring for the steel spheres
Chill them. But don’t knock them against the wood.
01 Chill
Chill the spheres in the deep freezer before use.
02 Rinse
Briefly with warm water, with a little soap if needed.
03 Dry
With a soft, clean cloth.
04 Air
02 Place gently
Don’t drop them into the cup. Lower the sphere slowly.
03 Clean and dry
After use, clean with warm water and dry completely.
Material: stainless steel. Diameter: 2.2 in (about 5.5 cm).
Store it once it is completely dry.
05 Rinse well
Rinse until no soap residue remains.
06 Dry completely
Dry with a soft cloth and let it air-dry.

What’s in the set

The set includes 2 wooden cups (10 oz), 2 stainless steel cooling spheres (2.2 in), 4 oak Aroma Keys, 1 pair of ice tongs, 2 wooden lids and coasters, 1 Ritual Book and 1 gift box. The cups are sold as a set of two, not individually.

Which woods are used
+
The cup body is made from jujube wood and the Aroma Keys are made from oak. Jujube gives the cup its body and natural character. Oak forms the aromatic side of the ritual.
Every cup is different
+
Grain lines, small color differences and natural marks are not manufacturing flaws. They come from the life of the tree. No two BARAVEL cups are identical.

Use
Which drinks it works with
+
You can use it with any drink except hot drinks. We don’t recommend the cup for hot drinks.
How long a drink can stay in the cup
+
Every BARAVEL jujube wood cup is one of a kind, with its own grain and texture. For this reason, there is no standard length of time a drink can stay in the cup.
To help the wood keep its natural beauty, don’t leave your drink in the cup for long. After use, clean the cup following our care guidance and put it away with care.
Steel spheres
+
Chill the spheres in the deep freezer ahead of time, place them in the cup, add your whiskey and enjoy. Use the tongs to handle the spheres.
Aroma Keys
+
The set includes four oak Aroma Keys. Choose one, bring it together with your whiskey, wait, taste and discover. Full usage details are in the Ritual Book.
Reusing the oak Aroma Key
+
Whether an oak Aroma Key can be reused depends on how you use it.
Long infusion: when the stick stays in the drink for a long time to pass on its aroma, it is single-use. Use a new stick for every new infusion.
Short use in the cup: if you use the stick during serving to add aroma, you can reuse it. After each use, clean it following the care guidance and let it dry completely. Keep in mind that the aroma may get weaker over time.
First use

Before first use, inspect the cup, dampen it lightly and clean it gently with a very little mild soap, rinse well and dry completely. Do not submerge it. Details are in the First use guide above.

Care and safety
Cleaning and care

After use, clean gently with warm water and a soft cloth, rinse well, dry it and let it air-dry. See the care guide above for details.
Dishwasher
+
No, don’t put it in the dishwasher. A dishwasher, long contact with water and high heat can damage the structure of the wood. Wash by hand with warm water.
Soaking in water
+
Do not soak the cup in water. Let it touch water only while washing.
Leaks
+
Made from natural wood, the BARAVEL cup does not leak when used as instructed. If you notice a problem, write to us and we will sort it out together.
Safe use
+
The BARAVEL cup is designed for serving drinks. For safe, long-lasting use, follow the steps in First use and the care guide. If you notice a crack, residue or an unusual smell in the cup, stop using it and write to Support.

BARAVEL’s one-year warranty is intended to cover manufacturing and workmanship defects from the purchase date, subject to the final warranty terms and applicable law.
